As it is the main aim of the project team to analyse and develop methods and instruments targeted at small and micro enterprises, a call for best practice was disseminated across Europe. Next to the two members of the project team already disposing of relevant services, thirteen expressions of interst have been collected. Ten of them were chosen as best practice partners and asked to comile a case study. They serve as a fruitful inspiration for the pilot projects that are in the course of being developed within the frames of the project and allow policy makers to derive conclusions on the factors with influence measures and instrumensts for micro and small enterprises in a positive way. During the research it has been shown that services targeted on micro and small enterprises make rather use of a crisis prevention than an intervention approach.
