Pilot Project of ADIE

The microfinance institute ADIE will offer a free-of-charge, telephone-based advice service to all its clients. The service will be provided in five regional areas of ADIE respectively including the director, one employee and one volunteer of each entity. The service will be provided by a volunteer who will receive extensive training before the pilot and will be actively supported during the pilot phase. This will either include information on the theoretical aspects of business management and the development of a strong capacity to manage the emotional situation of the caller. After the apprenticeship the volunteers will be able to:

  • solve the majority of enquiries and provide the caller with hands-on advice; and
  • serve as a hub to refer the clients to other business support services either offered by ADIE or other external organisations in the respective region.
